Darkness has settled on December's first day. It doesn't seem possible that November is already gone. It was a friendly month that allowed us to get our fall work done. Up to the evening of its 25th day, it was congenial with our plans. The winds stayed calm for our little group seated on wicker chairs and couches around an abundance of flickering candle lights. Little lights hung on the overhanging twigs of the surrounding woodland trees and starlight twinkled above us, visible through the bare, deciduous trees.
