Budget Questions Lead Catharine Township to Schedule Special Meeting

Last year, Catharine Township had a difficult time balancing budget and this year, supervisors are being proactive to prevent the same issue.

The preliminary budget that was presented to supervisors during the Nov. 21 meeting “needed some work” to be balanced.

Supervisor Heather Flaig made a motion to advertise for a special budget meeting for Monday, Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. in the Altoona Mirror with Supervisor Ralph Rispoli seconding. The motion passed.

The supervisors said that they hope to pass a preliminary budget following meeting Monday evening.
