Killer of Roaring Spring Woman to be Resentenced a Second Time

A man convicted of first-degree murder in the 2015 slaying of a Roaring Spring woman will be sentenced for the third time since pleading guilty to the crime in Bedford County Court in 2016.

Dontaz Moye, 21, was 16 years old when he and an accomplice, Ryan Hardwick, killed 21-year-old Stephanie Waters in the parking lot of the Woodbury Community Center.

Waters had gone to the community center to meet the pair and sell them marijuana.

According to police, Moye and Hardwick were expecting Waters' boyfriend, and when Waters showed up, Moye shot her twice and Hardwick shot Waters' dog.
