It has been three years since Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Landon E. Weaver lost his life in the performance of his duties, becoming the 97th member of the Pennsylvania State police killed in the line of duty.
On Dec. 30, 2016, Weaver was investigating a protection from abuse violation in Huntingdon County when he was shot and killed.
Weaver's death was felt through the Cove as the community mourned his loss alongside his family as sadness mixed with pride and a vow to never forget the son, brother, husband and community hero who gave his life in the service of others.
