The Loysburg Reformed Church will offer two performances of its Christmas program Sunday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. The 90-minute program will consists of songs and recitations by the children of the church and also a Christmas musical by the adult choir.
The choir's portion of the program will be “Holding on to Christmas,” a cantata arranged by Marty Parks. Directing the 15-voice choir will be Lorie LaSala with Barbara Thomas as pianist. Berneta Gable will be narrator.
A children’s program combined with the choir has been a long-standing tradition at St. John's of Loysburg. The children will be seen as the birth of the Christchild is re-enacted with Mary and Joseph, shepherds, angels and wise men.
The evening performance will end with a candle-lighting service. All in attendance in the evening are invited to stay for refreshments in the church fellowship hall.
