Dog Injured in East Freedom Burglary Attempt

Police Reports

A family dog was injured when someone attempted to burglarize a home along Cream Hollow Road, East Freedom, Freedom Township, between 9 and 10:15 a.m. on Dec. 11.

According to police, a suspect forced open the front door and entered the home.

The suspect encountered the dog and struck the dog on the head with a blunt object.

Police believe the dog prevented the suspect from burglarizing the residence.

The suspect fled with a possible injury from a dog bite.

Harassment

Bradley Brantner, 43, of Hollidaysburg, was charged with harassment with physical contact for an incident on Dec. 15. State Police, Hollidaysburg, said Brantner struck a 37-year-old Hollidaysburg woman in the back of the head with a closed fist.

Single-Vehicle Accident

Tristan G. McDannell, 18, of Claysburg, was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic after an accident on Dec. 13. State Police, Bedford, said McDannell’s 2006 Kia Optima was traveling on the 1500 block of Beaver Dam Road., Kimmel Township, Bedford County, when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
