The United States Post Offices in Bedford, Duncansville, Hollidaysburg and Martinsburg will have extended Saturday retail hours and offer Sunday retail hours on Dec. 22, USPS has announced.

Hollidaysburg and Martinsburg will offer Sunday Package Pickup also.

The Hollidaysburg post office will be open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Martinsburg will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Customers who want to mail cards and packages can also buy holiday stamps at area retailers, visit usps.com to purchase postage for packages and arrange free carrier pick-ups, or visit self-service kiosks at 23 Western Pa. district post offices.

To find the closest stamp retailer or Self-Service Kiosk, customers should go to usps.com and then click on “Find Locations.”

The post office also reminded customers that using correct addressing, and packaging gifts carefully and mailing by the recommended deadline dates can help ensure packages get to the intended destination by Dec. 25.

Customers can visit usps.com to get the full list of deadlines, pricing and shipping tips.

The Postal Service reminded customers that it receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
