MARIAN E. SHOWALTER-WALLS

Marian E. Showalter-Walls, 88, of Williamsburg, passed away Friday morning, Dec. 13, 2019, at her home.

A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 16, at Williamsburg United Methodist Church. Pastor Heather A. Wurst officiated.

Private interment was held at Presbyterian Cemetery, Williamsburg.

Marian was born Jan. 30, 1931, in Ganister, rural Williamsburg, daughter of the late Fred Levi and Barbara Ann (McCauley) Guerin.

Marian was twice married – first to Kenneth R. Showalter Sr., who preceded her in death April 10, 1992; and then to W. Martin Walls, who passed away May 3, 2014.

Surviving are two daughters: Wanda E. (Stanley) Loose of Williamsburg and Colleen “Kelly” (Bruce) Nunamaker of Imler; two sons: Kenneth R. (Suz) Showalter Jr. and Tim B. (Hong) Showalter of Clearfield; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Beatrice L. Elder of Martinsburg; a brother, Richard A. Guerin of Maryville, Tenn .; a son-in-law, John Hoffman of Roaring Spring; and her extended family of the late W. Martin Walls.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Showalter; two daughters: Diane M. Hoffman and Gloria J. Tate; a grandson, Dale S. Nunamaker; two brothers: Edward B. “Manny” and Frederick Dale Guerin; and two sisters: Phyllis J. Courtney and Lois I. Miller.

Marian was a 1948 graduate of Williamsburg High School and a longtime member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church.

She was primarily a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed reading and doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

Memorial contributions in memory of Marian can be given to Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 431 W. Second St., Williamsburg, PA 16693; and Williamsburg Public Library, 511 W. Second St., Williamsburg, PA 16693.
