CHS Earns Hard-Fought Win Over Penns Valley

The Central grapplers hosted Mountain League opponent Penns Valley last Wednesday and recorded a hard-fought 40-34 victory.

The Dragons won the opening four bouts to lead 22-0. Tyler Biesinger (113) and Luke Knisely (132) won by forfeits. Ian Crouch (120) won 13-3 while Alex Bowman (126) registered a fall in 1:28.

Penns Valley rallied by winning the next five weight classes, taking a 28-22 advantage. Ethan Eicher’s forfeit win (182) knotted the score before Michael Fowkes (195) put the Dragons ahead with an 8-2 decision.
