Doris M. Edmundson

Doris M. (Miller) Edmundson, 91, of Hollidaysburg, went home to be with the Lord Friday morning, Dec. 27, 2019, at The Presbyterian Village, Hollidaysburg, following an extended illness.

A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, at the Vicksburg Grace Brethren Church. Pastor Sean McGill officiated.

Interment was made in Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.

Doris was born Nov. 4, 1928, in Brooks Mills, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Steinbiser) Greenleaf.

She was twice married, first to John F. Miller, who preceded her in death; she then married James E. Edmundson of Hollidaysburg.

Doris is survived by her husband; two children: Tim Miller and wife Linda of Duncansville and Marilyn Berkey of Duncansville; a stepdaughter, Dani Felty and husband Harry of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren: Tara Shepley, Lindsay Miller-Hamilton and Zachary Miller; a step-grandson, James Shank; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Annabel Miller of Gettysburg and Peggy Walter of Atlanta.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Barron Shepley; and a sister, Glenna Greenleaf.

Doris was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.

She was employed at the Roaring Spring School cafeteria and Sylvania.

Doris was a member of Vicksburg Grace Brethren Church, where she was active as a Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher, Girls Club leader, sang in the church choir, and served on the Women's Missionary Council.

She had previously been a member of the Roaring Spring Junior Women's Club.

She enjoyed going to the beach, reading, camping and listening to christian music.

Contributions in Doris' memory may be given to the Vicksburg Grace Brethren Church.
