W-burg Junior/Senior High Wins $7,500 Grant to Promote Youth in Ag

The Williamsburg Community Junior/Senior High School was awarded a state grant to purchase $7,500 in equipment in the state’s Ag and Youth Grants program.

Gov. Tom Wolf on Jan. 7 announced the approval of a total of $500,000 grants to fund 55 projects across the state that are intended to improve access to agriculture education in the commonwealth.

The goal is to address what the state predicts to be a looming 75,000 “workforce deficit” in Pennsylvania’s agriculture industry in the coming decade.
