Thanks to the generosity of the Williamsburg Lions Club, our library can offer a wide variety of large print editions of bestsellers, non-fiction and biographies. Each month we receive a shipment of surprises from a company specializing in large print editions.

Mary Higgins Clark's "Kiss the Girls" and "Make Them Cry" delves into the timely topic of sexual misconduct in the world of network news. A young woman, who offered her story of harassment to journalist Gina Kane, dies in a tragic accident. As more female network employees make allegations, they are offered monetary settlements. Attorneys for the network attempts to suppress the story are matched by Gina's determination to get at the truth. When another accuser dies, she realizes that someone will do anything to keep the truth hidden.

For fans of suspense thrillers, Leigh Bardugo's "Ninth House" tells a dark tale of Alex Stern, an unlikely member of Yale's freshmen class. She dropped out of school and into a world of shady drug dealers, dead-end jobs and worse. When offered a second chance: to attend prestigious Yale, Alex wonders, "what's the catch." The catch is that she is tasked with monitoring Yale's secret societies. But their occult activities are more forbidding and darker than anyone imagined. They tamper with forbidden magic, raise the dead and sometimes prey on the living.

Baby Boomers will find "Elton John's Me" nostalgic and entertaining. Reginald Dwight was a shy boy with Buddy Holly glasses, who grew up in suburban London listening to his mum's Elvis records and dreaming of stardom. By age 23, he had his first gig in America, astonishing audiences with his bright yellow dungarees, star-spangled T-shirt, and boots with wings. Elton John had arrived, and the music world would never be the same. Elton's life has been a rollercoaster, from early rejection to becoming a superstar with famous friends; from the depths to the heights. In his own words and with his usual honesty, Elton shares his story-every hilarious, heartbreaking moment.

Whatever your taste, you will find something to enjoy in the large print section.
