High School Girls' Basketball Report

WILLIAMSBURG

The Williamsburg High School girls’ basketball team finished as the runner-up at the annual Lady Blue Pirate Holiday Tournament Dec. 26-27 at WHS.

In the first round, WHS knocked off Moshannon Valley, 62-12, while Northern Bedford fell to Glendale, 58-36.

WHS raced to a 34-9 halftime lead against Moshannon Valley. The Lady Pirates dominated the second half, 28-3, including 10-0 in the final eight minutes.

Jayla Woodruff paced WHS with a game-high 17 points. Morgan Webb and Hannah Brenneman added 15 and 11 points, respectively.
