Claysburg Wins 2 of 3 Outings

The Claysburg-Kimmel boys’ basketball team used a 21-7 third-quarter run to defeat winless Juniata Valley on Jan. 6, 66-54.

Kyle Glass led three C-K scorers in double figures with a game-high 27 points, including three of the team’s 10 3-pointers. Wyatt Buell drained five 3-pointers and scored 17 points. David Gregg contributed 10 points.

At C-K on Jan. 8, Tussey Mountain outscored the Bulldogs 22-9 in the third quarter and prevailed by 13 points, 68-55. The teams were tied at 27-27 at halftime before the Titans broke the game open.
