Route 866 traffic was blocked for 2 1/2 hours last Wednesday evening when a Penn Central Railroad locomotive became stalled on the Crossing in Curryville. Glenn F. Guyer of Martinsburg, who operates an excavating business, came to the rescue and pulled thedeisel off the road with one of his bulldozers. The locomotive was being used to place freightcars on sidings at one of the mills in Curryville when the engine stopped. The batteries on it were not powerful enough to get it started again.
