Just what will be the standing of the interests of the local fliers under the new set-up for the Martinsburg airport has not yet been determined. Starting with the first of the month, the airport will be under the management of the Altoona Aviation corporation with Paul Peterson as the head. In other words, Paul Peterson, well known Altoona flier, will be operator and manager. At a meeting of the Martinsburg group of the Civil Air Patrol held Tuesday evening in the Administration building at he airport, the members were told that the Cove Valley Flying club was to continue the operation of the airport until Feb. 1. This club has been in charge since the city and county took it over last July.

A gang of fifteen men from the Tuscarora Oil company are engaged this week in uncovering long sections of the oil pipe line running through the Cove north of Martinsburg. The workmen started last week on the irvin M. Stoner farm north of town and are working eastward and westward. The pipe is being uncovered and closely inspected.
