Doris Carper, 92, a lifetime resident of the Morrisons Cove area, died on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at UPMC Altoona.

A funeral was held on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, at the First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring. Pastor Laurie Stiles officiated.

Doris was born in 1927 in Roaring Spring, the daughter of Jacob and Ada (Miller) Frederick and was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Richard Frederick and Wayne Frederick. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Joanne Carper, on Oct. 28, 2017.
