This weekend is Super Bowl Sunday, one of the biggest sporting events at the Gorsuch household besides Wrestlemania, of course.

All this football talk has got me thinking – Who was/is your favorite football player?

Here is what a few Williamsburg residents had to say:

Stan Grove: Jack Lambert

Kevin Wise: Mean Joe Greene

Suzanne Gorsuch: Ken Stabler

Patrick Detwiler: Saquon Barkley

Josh Detwiler: Walter Payton

Rich Detwiler: Brett Favre

Steve Butcher: Hines Ward

Diana Barroner: Bart Starr. When I was young, also Walter Payton, the Steel Curtain and Franco Harris.

Jon Detwiler: Thurman Thomas – I got to meet him a few years back, Go, Bills!

Tabitha Kifer: Reggie White

Karen Loomis: Jack Lambert

Polly Smith: My son Rich, when he played in school.

Zena Saylor: My son, Joey, when he played in school.

Leoda Weyandt: I am answering for my husband – Roger Staubach!

Jenna Kephart: Maurkice Pouncey

Robert Loucks: Tony Dorsett

Blair Saylor: Jerome Bettis

In the Gorsuch house, we are raised to strongly dislike the Pittsburgh Steelers and of course, that’s part of the reason I became such a die-hard Baltimore Ravens fan. My favorite player of all-time has to be Ed Reed, the now-retired safety of the Ravens.
