Airport Authority Gets Liquor License

Alcohol Sales Strictly Limited to Airport Restaurant

The Altoona-Blair County Airport Authority has obtained a liquor license for use at the airport’s restaurant.

La Fiesta Mexican Bar & Grille, located at the airport, is now permitted to serve alcohol to its customers, as the liquor license was received by the authority on Jan. 23.

There is a provision in the Pennsylvania Liquor Code that allows for the issuance of a liquor license to an airport authority only, without opening the entire township to liquor sales by other parties.
