Rebecca Ann Hazenstab, 64, of Loysburg, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, after complications from stem cell transplant.

A funeral was held on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, at the Faith United Methodist Church in Woodbury. Pastor Mick Dawes officiated.

Rebecca was born on Sept. 17, 1955, in Roaring Spring, daughter of Gene and Florence (King) Shaffer.

She married Don Lashinsky and had two daughters, Heather and Amy.

Becky was united in marriage to Carl Hazenstab on Aug. 8, 1999, at the Faith United Methodist Church in Woodbury.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Carl Hazenstab; daughter Heather Bowser; daughter Amy Banaszak (Josh); stepson Nathan Hazenstab (Jamie); stepdaughter Sarah Bartlebaugh (Tim); stepdaughter Carly Richardson (Rusty); sister Sabrina Will (Joe); father Gene Shaffer and stepmother Peggy; half-brother Mark Shaffer; special aunt Willa Shaffer; as well as 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother Florence.

Becky was a graduate of the Northern Bedford High School, Loysburg, Class of 1973. She graduated from Allegany College of Maryland in 1998 and held a degree in accounting.

Becky retired in September 2017 after 22 years of employment from Friends Cove Mutual Insurance.

She was a faithful member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Woodbury, serving as the financial secretary. She also attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Newry and helped with dinners and festivals.

Becky enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going on vacations/trips.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Becky's name can be made to the Faith United Methodist Church Building Fund.
