Central High School’s Mock Trial team won its second trial Feb. 8 against Hollidaysburg. Not a bad start for a competition with a “win or go home” mentality.

District 6 officials released their pairings for the upcoming basketball playoffs, which are scheduled to begin next week.

Area schools qualifying for the District 6 playoffs are boys’ and girls’ squads from both Central and Williamsburg.

A Roaring Spring teen is incarcerated and two others are being sought for their involvement in 60 vehicle break-ins in two days.

According to Roaring Spring Chief of Police Milton Fields, 42 thefts were reported to have happened between 1 and 5 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in the borough. Among the items stolen were currency, CDs and assorted electronic devices.

The park is launching a series of dance classes. Plans are for classes in various ballroom dance and line dance. The first class will be Argentine tango. Dress is casual.
