Central Cove FFA Chapter
The Central Cove FFA Chapter, Martinsburg, is advised by Thomas Ritchey. There are 98 members in the chapter.
The chapter's 2019-20 officers are:

Year-to-Date Activities
• State FFA Activities Week at Penn State: Katheryn Longenekcer, first place dairy showmanship contest (gold medalist); Dana Heltzel, second place junior prepared public speaking (gold medalist); Keller Metzker, third place senior prepared public speaking (gold medalist); Madison Benfer and Faith Brumbaugh, dairy showmanship contest (silver and bronze medalists, respectively); Ashley Sollenberger, livestock judging (bronze medalist).
• Seven members attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis (Dana Heltzel, Darcy Heltzel, Katheryn Longenecker, Lindsey Kensinger, Kaylee McClain, Madison Benfer and Garrison Dibert); Katheryn Longenecker placed first in the national dairy showmanship contest; Dana and Darcy Heltzel were selected to play in the National FFA Band at the National Convention.
• Attended an Altoona Curve baseball game.
• Chapter/Young Farmer softball game.
• Participated in Morrisons Cove Dairy Show.
• Participated in Blair County Jr. Livestock Show/Sale.
• Participated in Hollidaysburg Community Fair.
• Assisted with the Blair County Ag Career Day at Kulp Family Dairy.
• Attended Blair County FFA land use contest near Bellwood. Top placings: first-place tie – Alex Bowman and Sam Stahl; second-place tie – Keller Metzker and Lily Sollenberger, third – Maci Liebal.
• Eight students received Blair/Bedford/Fulton Area FFA Degrees.
• Victoria Longenecker, Kaylee McClain and Lindsey Kensinger received their Keystone FFA Degrees at PA Farm Show.
• Two state officers visited chapter.
• Attended the PA State Legislative Leadership Conference.
• Attended PA Farm Show and Mid-Winter FFA Convention.
• Conducted farm animal program for kindergarten students.

• Ice skating party
• National FFA Week Activities (class breakfasts, community service project, hosting faculty/staff milk and donuts and more).
• State Legislative Leadership Conference.
