Too Much Snow

Perpetrators involved in a rash of vehicle break-ins have been detained and are facing numerous charges.

Robert Dibert, 18, Duncansville, and Nathan Singer, 19, Roaring Spring Commons, and Daniel Owen Weyandt Jr., 19, Roaring Spring, each face 42 charges of theft from a motor vehicle, 42 charges of receiving property, 23 counts of loitering and prowling at nighttime and one count of criminal conspiracy.

The Martinsburg Municipal Authority received approvals for its replacement well project. Pa. Dept. of Environmental Protection and PennVEST will allow Martinsburg to use low-interest grant money for the wells.

Twenty-four inches or more of snow was simply too much weight for at least two area barn roofs. Snow partially collapsed roofs in South Woodbury and Taylor townships.

In District 6 AA playoff action eighth-seeded Central Lady Dragons knocked off No. 9 Westmont Hilltop, 47-43.
