Post Office Site Selected

The U.S. Post Office Department has selected 200 E. Allegheny St. as the site for the new post office building in Martinsburg.

No plans have been formulated for the new building due to the freeze on federal construction starts.

The Herald announces one dollar rate increase. Pa. mail subscriptions will be $5 and beyond Pa. $6. The news stand price will remain at 10 cents per copy.

Salem United Church of Christ of Beavertown, Martinsburg dedicated a new $1000 electronic organ.
