Glass Marks 50 Yrs. as Driver

The Spring Cove School District paid tribute to Ralph W. Glass of Roaring Spring for 50 years of accident-free service as a school bus driver in the district. Glass, 73, also received a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Glass started driving on Feb. 19, 1945, for contractor Philip Kensinger. He later drove for Elmer F. Smith and was driving for Thelma I. and Dennis L. Smith. He had driven to all of the Spring Cove schools except the East Freedom Elementary School.
