Snow Emergency Declared

It was trial by snow for Martinsburg Borough’s new town-wide telephone communications system on Feb. 5. Randy Stoltz, borough manager, declared a snow emergency that translated into “please remove your vehicles from the street.” And it worked.

Supervisor Charles A. Smith Jr. resigned from the Taylor Township Board of Supervisors.

Under the direction of Bradley Genevro, 110 instumentalists representing seven area schools took over the CHS auditorium for two days of intensive rehearsals that culminated in a public performance of the Blair County Senior High Band...
