Harry C. Roudabush, 87, of Martinsburg, died on Friday morning, Feb. 28, 2020, at Homewood at Martinsburg, after a lengthy illness.

At the request of the deceased, services will be private at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Gerald McCuller will officiate.

Interment will be made in Holsinger Cemetery, New Enterprise.

Harry was born on July 25, 1932, in St. Clairsville, the son of the late Howard and Esther (Negley) Roudabush and was raised in the home of the late Bill and Theda Negley.

He married Genevieve Mohr on April 12, 1955.

Harry is survived by his wife; a daughter, Vickie K. Roudabush of Martinsburg; two cousins, who he was raised in the home with: Jim Negley and wife Linda of Clappertown and Ruth Snellbacker of Manchester, Pa; and four sisters: Betty, Mary, Martha and Shirley.

He was preceded in death by a cousin, Fred Negley, and two sisters, Jennie and Doris.

Harry was a graduate of Woodbury High School.

He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956.

He retired in 1994 from Martinsburg Borough with more than 20 years of service.

Harry enjoyed any outdoor activity, especially gardening.

He was a life member of the Martinsburg Volunteer Fire Company and a past member of the Morrisons Cove Hunting Club.

Harry was known as “Pap” to all the Blair County Dairy Promotion members and royalty for the last 20 years.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harry’s memory may be given to the Martinsburg Volunteer Fire Company, 205 S. Market St., Martinsburg, PA 16662; or a charity of your choice.
