The local W.C.T.U. on Friday evening, met in their Annual Due Social at the Martinsburg hotel. Notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather, there were in attendance sixty-five members and friend of the W.C.T.U.

Broom Sale this week at Martin’s, Roaring Spring. Good brooms at 55c, 88c and 98c.

A thunderstorm and a snow storm, both at the same time on Friday night, was the closing scene of the groundhog period and the opening act of springtime.
