S.C. Basketball Team Wins

Sherman Croft of Martinsburg, has been appointed manager of the Hershberger Memorial Swimming Pool for the 1970 season.

16 year family memberships are $150. The family rate for a single season is $16.

Changes to the Sewage Facilities Act of 1968 were made this month and requires all municipalities to enforce the provisions that require permits for septic tank installations on any lot less than 10 acres.

The Entriken homestead, a mansion built around 1850, will soon be swallowed by the waters of the Raystown Reservoir.

A basketball team of seventh grade students from Spring Cove Junior High School, sponsored by the Hershberger and Myers Insurance Agency, won the opening game in the Junior High School Tournament this week at the Huntingdon Community Center. They defeated a team from Clearfield 47 to 27. Scoring team members were Wes Davis 21 points, Randy Brumbaugh 10, Vince Miller 8, Bernie Hershberger 6 and Keith Steele 2.
