What the Herald is Posting to Facebook

Series: Coronavirus | Story 78

While we at the Herald are big fans of traditional paper newspapers, we also make use of some of those modern, new-fangled ways of communicating. We do have a website, where we post every story that appears in the print edition.

We also have a Facebook page and we occasionally post there.

With coronavirus-related events moving as fast as they are, we have resorted to using Facebook a little more than usual. We’re trying to get our questions and our messages out to the community a little more rapidly than our once-a-week publication schedule.

We are also aware that not all of our readers use Facebook, so we’re going to publish some of our recent Facebook postings here, in the print edition.

Our intent is to make sure that we reach as many Cove residents as possible with our content.

So, here are the most useful of the recent Herald Facebook postings. (By the way, you can find us on Facebook by searching for “Morrisons Cove Herald.”)

Hey, we've heard that some people are willing to run and get groceries for those who need them. And, of course, there are some folks who don't want to venture out. So, if you are in either of those categories, shoot an email to the Herald at news@mcheraldonline.com and we'll try to work something out. We won't publicize your name, we'll just try to connect the homebound with those willing to deliver. We'll get through this together!

Some people are getting creative and starting new businesses to resolve the problems created by the virus. What's your positive story? Send it to the Herald at the address news@mcheraldonline.com. Be sure to include your name and the town where you live. We'll publish the best in an upcoming edition of the Herald. We'll get through this together.

Since you're cooped up inside, why not share your story? Some people are saying that the slowdown of their lives has given them more time to think, a new appreciation of family and even made them question how they've been spending their time. How is the coronavirus affecting your life? Has it made you rethink anything? Got any insights you'd like to share? Please send to the Herald via news@mcheraldonline.com. We'll publish the most thoughtful, funniest and most interesting. Please include your name and the town where you live. Thank you! We'll get through this together.

What the Herald is doing

We’re not just posting questions to Facebook. In addition to continuing its regular weekly publication of a print edition, the Herald is frequently posting information about the coronavirus to the Herald website at the URL http://www.mcheraldonline.com.

We are publishing updated information as it becomes available. All coronavirus-related stories are tagged “coronavirus” and are available to all who visit the website. No subscription is needed for coronavirus-related stories.

If there’s a story you’d like us to write, please send an email to news@mcheraldonline.com. We’d love to hear from you.
