Cove Students Taking Advantage of Free Meals

With the closure of all K-12 schools in Pennsylvania since March 16 due to COVID-19, the four school districts in the Morrisons Cove area have been providing breakfast and lunch meals for students during their time away from school.

The Claysburg-Kimmel School District is offering bags containing five breakfasts and five lunches that may picked up between 9:30 and 11 a.m. Tuesdays at the elementary school and high school. On March 19, the district served more than 1,000 breakfasts and lunches. On March 24, 3,910 meals were given for the week.
