President Franklin D. Roosevelt died Thursday April 12, at 3:45 following a cerebral hemmorrhage suffered at 1:00 the same afternoon.

During the hour of the funeral of the president business places in Martinsburg were closed. During the day flags were at half mast. On Sunday, special services were held in a number of the churches.

Pvt. James R. Miller and Cpl. Kenneth H. Miller, sons of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Miller of W. Allegheny St., had a happy surprise when they suddenly came face to face on the battle grounds of Germany.

James was just going back to his outfit...
