S. Walter Piper, emergency management coordinator for Taylor Township, Blair County, recently completed the first phase of the career development program through the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. In accordance with the requirements delineated in the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Services Code, and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Directive, Emergency Management Certification and Training, Piper has completed the basic certification training requirements. Taylor Township supervisors recognized Piper for his accomplishments during the April 6 meeting.
