The Roaring Spring Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Borough officials were notified by the Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission that the official listing took place on March 3. A similar nomination for the Williamsburg Historic District had been approved by the state and was expected to receive federal approval soon.
