Burglars Blow Open Safe

An iron safe belonging to C.L. Buck of New Enterprise was blown open and rifled of its contents. The explosion awakened the household and the robbers had to get away rather suddenly, leaving behind them chisels, braces, etc. No money was in the safe, but thieves carried with them quite a lot of papers valuable to Mr. Buck. The papers later were found by Jacob Latshaw in the outbuilding at the Pine Hill Schoolhouse.
