Rolling Back Emissions Standards is Not Good for the Country

My saddest life experience was watching my mother on oxygen the last seven years of her life, struggling for breath from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

After developing asthma, I was more than alarmed this week when the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as directed by the current administration, announced plans to roll back the Clean Car Emissions Standards, which will greatly weaken the Clean Air Act. What a twisted way for them to honor the 50th anniversary of Earth Day in 2020.
