Williamsburg High School Set To Graduate Thirty-Four Students

During last week’s Williamsburg School District School Board meeting, facilitated by Zoom video software, the list of 34 graduates was presented and approved.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, graduation ceremonies will look different this year. According to the high school administration, the scholarship program and subsequent graduation ceremony will be combined this year and the date when more details about reopening state emerge.

As of this publication date, the prom and junior high formal events are also postponed.

The 2020-21 IU-8 budget was approved in the amount of $4,862,058. The school district’s contract with Schneider Electric to complete the construction of the high school and elementary school vestibules was approved in the amount of $189, 390.

Julia Everhart was appointed as the high school secretary, effective May 11, at a rate of $12 per hour.

Timothy Campbell was approved as a girls’ basketball volunteer. The school board also ratified leave without pay requests from Linda Allison and Gloria Ginter.
