Bill Would End Deer Hunting

A bill prohibiting the killing of wild deer in the state for a period of five years passed the House in Harrisburg. The bill makes it a misdemeanor to transport, sell or have in possession any deer or deer meat during the period the law is in force.

The spring term of the Martinsburg Normal School was to open May 6 at the Juniata Collegiate Institute Building. Prof. Kagarise was to be the instructor.
