Carl R. England, 80, of Fanning Springs, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 30, 2020.

He was born in Roaring Spring, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. K.B. England.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Genevieve England; a daughter, Cathern House and husband Paul of Chiefland, Fla .; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Susan Hoover and husband Dale and sister-in-law, Gladys Heuston, all of Martinsburg; a sister, Patricia England and brother, William England and wife Pam, all of Roaring Spring; a sister, Gina Hershberger and husband Randy of Coventry, Conn .; and a sister, Barbara Locke and husband Blaine of Fanning Springs, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean; a son, Brian Kent; and three brothers.

Carl retired after 35 years of service as a crane operator at Formit Steel in Red Lion, Pa.

He coached Little League football for several years. He was a No.-1 Pittsburgh Steeler and Penn State football fan. He also enjoyed feeding the birds and collecting birds. Most of all he enjoyed his family and grandchildren dearly.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services will be private at the convenience of the family by Pastor Betty Royer.

A public memorial service will be held at a later date.

Interment will be made in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
