Clappers Celebrate 70th Wedding Anniversary

Joseph Jr. and Dolores Clapper of Hopewell celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.

Joseph married the former Dolores Batzel on May 5, 1950, in Winchester, Va.

The couple have four children: Steven Clapper of Hopewell, Eric Clapper, married to Maggie, of Hopewell; Joseph Clapper III, married to Christy, of Boalsburg; and Jill Clapper of Hopewell.

They have three grandchildren: Laura Clapper and fiance John-Rine Zabanal of Chicago; Seth Clapper, married to Allie, of Loysburg; and Bronson Clapper, married to Hannah, of Woodbury; and two great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Elijah Clapper.

The Clappers attend Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren and the Woodbury Senior Center.

The Clappers enjoy crossword puzzles and following Northern Bedford sports.
