Online Newsletter Provides Updates, Recommendations on Spotted Lanternfly

A new online newsletter offered by Penn State Extension will give readers “the scoop” on the spotted lanternfly.

The Penn State Extension and Pa. Dept. of Agriculture added Blair and Huntingdon counties to the lanternfly quarantine zone this year. Bedford County has not been added.

Infestations of the insect have been reported in Mifflin and Juniata counties.

Launching the week of May 4, the monthly “Spotted Lanternfly Newsletter” will feature content developed Penn State Extension educators and College of Agricultural Sciences researchers.
