ETHEL L. PLEACHER

Roaring Spring

Ethel L. Pleacher, 95, of Roaring Spring, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.

She was born on Feb. 23, 1925, in Roaring Spring, the daughter of the late Irvin R. and Hattie (Burket) Neterer.

She was twice married: first to Charles Eugene “Smokey” Pleacher and then to Frank Brubaker. Both preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Charles I. Pleacher and wife Gerardine of Virginia Beach, Va .; two grandchildren: Charles J. Pleacher and wife Laura of Winchester, Va., and Jennifer L. Pleacher of Virginia Beach, Va .; and a great-granddaughter, Isabella S. Pleacher.

She was preceded in death by a son, Samuel E. Pleacher, who passed away on Aug. 10, 2006; and 10 siblings: George, Samuel, Charles, Bowman, Paul, Carl, her twin sister, Esther Rhodes, Mary Jane Neterer and infant brothers Earl and Harry.

Ethel was the oldest member of Albright Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring.

She retired from Roaring Spring Blank Book Co. after many years of service.

Due to the COVID-19 limitations, a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ethel’s memory may be given to an organization of your choice to help feed children.
