The Martinsburg Police Department purchased a 1994 Ford Crown Victoria at a cost of $15,897. The new vehicle would replace the department’s 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis.

Mrs. Dorothy Shaw, volunteer in the Nason Hospital snack bar and outpatient lab, was honored at the annual Nason Volunteer Brunch on May 6 at the hospital. Mrs. Shaw, a resident of McKee, was surprise when she learned that her volunteer efforts had earned her recognition as well as a framed certificate of appreciation.
