Memorial Day Parades, Services Cancelled


Though many people consider Memorial Day as the unofficial beginning of summer, the day is much more than that. Initially known as Decoration Day, Memorial Day is a day to remember those military members who died in service of the country.

The traditional three-day Memorial Day Weekend holiday, which unofficially begins the summer season, will be different in the Cove in 2020.

Memorial Day services and parades, honoring the men and women who have died while serving in the U.S. military, have been cancelled this year in and around Morrisons Cove due to COVID-19.
