On one of the many trips I took on my garden path to my little greenhouse this spring, I stopped dead in my tracks at what I saw. Seeing the first appearance of a fern leaf peony in my garden was a surprise but I did remember planting it last summer after Karen Bassler brought it to me. A gentleman by the name of John Young had dropped it off at the Herald office as a gift for me.
