The Roaring Spring Borough Council Meeting is scheduled to meet on June 8, 2020, at 6:15 p.m. and although the building will be closed to the public, the meeting will be online for the public to attend remotely.

Public participation is invited and directions for accessing the meeting can be obtained by calling the R.S. Borough Office at 224-4814 or by E-mail request at rsboro@roaringspring.net.

All requests must be made no later than 12 p.m., June 8, 2020.

Northern Bedford County School District

2020/21 Milk and

Bread Bid

Northern Bedford School District will receive bids for milk and bread deliveries for the 2020/21 school year. Bids should be marked milk and bread and sent to the Administrative Office, 152 NBC Drive, Loysburg, PA 16659, at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids must be hand delivered or sent via courier to this address. Bid documents and specifications can be found at http://www.nbcsd.org.

Sealed proposals will be received by the Huston Township of Blair County, at 1230 Piney Creek Rd., Martinsburg, PA 16662, until 7 p.m. on June 11, 2020, for the following:

Item 1, 5,289 S.Y., Double sealcoat with RS-2PM (E-2M)/ CRS-2PM (E-3M)

Item 2, 31,397 S.Y., Single sealcoat with RS-2PM (E-2M)/ CRS-2PM (E-3M)

Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $885.00 per calendar day.

Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality.

For third class cities the bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the municipality. For other municipal types it is the discretion of the municipality.

A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded.

The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.

Notice is hereby given that on June 4, 2020 at 6 p.m., the Board of Supervisors of North Woodbury Township, Blair County, PA, will meet by telephone means at the North Woodbury Township Municipal Building, 113 Cranberry Road, Martinsburg, PA (which meeting will be held no less than seven (7) days nor more than sixty (60) days from the date of publication of this notice) to consider for enactment an Ordinance (the AOrdinance@). The summary of this Ordinance is as follows:

AN ORDINANCE OF NORTH WOODBURY TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, MAKING FALSE ALARMS ILLEGAL AND ESTABLISHING A SYSTEM OF PENALTIES AND FINES FOR EXCESSIVE FALSE ALARMS TO WHICH THE TOWNSHIP MUST RESPOND.

A copy of the full text of the proposed Ordinance may be requested by any citizen contacting the Township Office during business hours of 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays. NOTICE OF FAIR HOUSING OFFICER AND COMPLAINT PROCESS

This notice will serve to advise all residents of Blair County, specifically the Non-Entitlement municipalities, Borough of Hollidaysburg, Borough of Tyrone, Township of Antis, Township of Blair, Township of Frankstown and Township of Greenfield, Blair County that the following actions, if based on race, color, sex, national origin, religion, familial status (families with children), or handicap (disability) is prohibited by Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 (Federal Fair Housing Act) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act adds the additional protected classes of age and ancestry and use of guide or support animals because of the blindness, deafness or physical handicap of the user or because the user is a handler or trainer of support or guide animals are considered discriminatory:

• Refusing to sell or rent to, deal or negotiate with any person

• Discriminating on terms or conditions for buying or renting housing

• Discriminating by advertising that housing is available only to persons of certain race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, handicap (disability), age, ancestry or with no animals

• Denying that housing is available for inspection, sale or rent when it really is available

• Blockbusting-for profit, persuading owners to sell or rent housing by telling them that the minority groups are moving into the neighborhood

• Denying or making different terms or conditions for home loans by financial institution

• Denying to anyone the use of or participation in any real estate services, multiple-listing services or other facilities related to the selling and renting of housing
