Charles, Shirley Smith of Roaring Spring to Celebrate 65th Wedding Anniversary

Charles and Shirley Smith of Roaring Spring will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary today, June 4, 2020.

Charles and the former Shirley Cornelius were married on June 4, 1955, at Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg.

The couple have six children: Kathy (Roy) Creps, Lane Smith, Kevin (Lisa) Smith, Kelly Smith, Lon (Kathy) Smith and Lyle (Dawn) Smith.

The Smith's have 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Charles retired as a supervisor at New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. Inc., Roaring Spring.

Shirely retired as a registered nurse at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.
