The Morrisons Cove Home named David W. Thomas to the position of administrator for health services. Thomas had been a licensed nursing home administrator for 13 years. Morrisons Cove Home was building a new 61,000-square-foot nursing home center with completion scheduled for April 1996.

The Rev. Mark Wesley Stamm, pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church in Roaring Spring, graduated on Sunday, May 21, from the Boston University School of Theology, receiving a Doctor of Theology degree.

The Morrisons Cove Tennis Association completed the resurfacing of the community tennis courts located adjacent to the Martinsburg Elementary School. The work was done by the Robert Fabian Co. of Beaver Falls at a cost of $7,200. The Spring Cove School District contributed $3,000, the price of the materials, and the Martinsburg VFW donated $1,200 toward the project.

Stephen C. Metzger of Roaring Spring was promoted to vice president and regional administrator of Mid-State Bank.
