ROGER D. BLOUGH

Philipsburg, formerly of Williamsburg

Roger D. Blough, 65, of Philipsburg, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away on Friday afternoon, May 29, 2020, at Hershey Medical Center.

He was born on Jan. 29, 1955, in rural Williamsburg, son of the late Jack N. and Gertrude L. (Gorsuch) Blough.

Surviving are his companion, Beverly Cowher of Philipsburg; a sister, Linda L. Whitaker of Williamsburg; two brothers: Larry L. of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Timothy W. of rural Williamsburg; a brother-in-law, Kevin "Pud" Irvin of rural Williamsburg; and five nephews: Scott Whitaker, Chad Whitaker, Matt Blough, Jon Detwiler and Josh Detwiler.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Robin L. Irvin; a niece, Jennifer (Detwiler) Smith; and a brother-in-law, Ed Whitaker.

Roger was a 1973 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He retired as a machine operator in 2017 from Edgemate, Roaring Spring, with more than 20 years of service.

He loved his pet cat, Bugs, hunting deer and morels, gardening and making wine.

At Roger's request there will be no public service.
