A delegation of men living on Clover Creek road between Fredericksburg and Williamsburg went to Hollidaysburg to have a conference with the county commissioners relative to having this highway improved.
Henry Zimmerman, a veteran of the Civil War whose home was at Mines, died June 4, aged 75. During his early life he was a teamster for iron companies, being employed about charcoal furnaces. He was a member of Company A of the 188th Regular Pennsylvania Volunteer infantry during the Civil war and was wounded several time. Interment was made at the Beavertown cemetery....
